City) have all the usual fast food venues and chain restaurants like Fatz, Chili's,
etc. Forget about that and check out Main Street in Rutherfordton, where you
will find Legal Grounds, which is a coffeehouse, pizzaria, restaurant and bar
with live entertainment on the weekends. Downtown Rutherfordton also has
Gregory's, Courtside Eatery, Angie's, and Mi Pueblito. Scoggins Seafood &
Steakhouse just outside of town has been a county institution for 50 years. If
you feel like a big splurge and a fabulous meal, ask us how to get to the Water
Oak, just outside of Rutherfordton.
Spindale has M2 which serves organic fine foods and has a great live band
most weekends, Barley's Taproom and Pizzaria, MudBones BBQ and the Broad
River Coffee Company, which is located inside Spindale Drugstore.
Forest City has great Thai food at Joe's Place on Oak Street. Rollins Cafeteria at
the Tri-City Mall has a big selection of meat and veggies.
