Far-Infrared Sauna
Sweating is the body’s safe and natural way to detox.
The average person has 2.6 million sweat glands distributed over most of
the human body. Sweat carries toxins out of the body and out through the
pores.
The far infrared operates at temperatures 60-80 degrees lower than a
conventional sauna. In traditional saunas, the body sweats out 3 % toxins
and 97% water. In a far infrared sauna, that figure is 20% toxins and 80%
water.
Far infrared is helpful for the following conditions:
Allergies
Acne
Anxiety and Depression
Chemical sensitivities
Chronic Fatigue
Eczema
Frequent colds and flu symptoms
Feeling “achy all over”
Low body temperature
Mood swings
Muscle and joint pain
Poor concentration and memory loss
Poor circulation.
It is recommended that use of the sauna begin slowly. At least 1/3 of the
population are heat intolerant and do not sweat. Start with 20-30 minutes
at 110° and gradually increase on subsequent visits. Far infrared can
safely be used every day.
CONTRAINDICATIONS
The far infrared should not be used with the following conditions:
Pregnant or nursing mothers
Lupus-related conditions
Multiple sclerosis
Oozing or open wounds
Hemophiliacs
People with pacemakers
Far-infrared causes a brief 1°-3° increase in core temperature, triggering
the production of white blood cells by your bone marrow and killer T cells
by your thymus, increasing immune system’s function.
The body’s natural reaction to heat is to cool itself by diverting blood from
internal organs to the extremities and skin. This increases heart rate,
cardiac output and metabolic rate.
Far infrared helps with weight control by burning as much as 600 calories
during a session. Cellulite is composed of fat, water, and waste products
trapped near the surface of the skin. Cellulite depletion occurs as toxins
are removed and excess water leaves the cells.
