What to Bring to Class
For any of our lecture-only classes such as Marketing, Ethics, etc, you need only
bring something to take notes with.
For table classes, we do have a number of massage tables here for your use, but
for larger groups we occasionally require some students to bring tables. We will
let you know when we acknowledge your registration if you need to bring a table.
If you are taking a table class, please bring your own sheets even if we don't
need you to bring a table. Please bring your own massage cream or oil.
For Indian Head Massage Class, DO NOT BRING A MASSAGE CHAIR. IHM is best
performed in a regular chair. We will provide those here. You may bring a pillow
if you want one for comfort, since you will be sitting in a folding chair for three
days.
For Siddha massage, please bring two towels with you. You may also purchase
a cup warmer---those are about 5.00 at Wal-mart, it's just a small warmer you can
sit a coffee cup on. The instructor usually has extras for sale.
For Lomi-Lomi, please bring a couple of towels.
For Structural Rebalancing, you need to be prepared to stand up in your
underwear for a postural analysis. One-piece bathing suits are NOT good.
Neither are boxer shorts. This is not about judging anyone's body, it is about
learning something in the best possible manner.
For Spa Without a Wetroom, we will need for some people to bring their own
warmers and hot rocks. If you are coming with a friend, ONE of you bringing it
will be enough. We do have some here for classroom use. You may also bring a
regular kitchen crockpot instead of a big stone warmer if you choose. You will
need to bring two large towels, preferably beach-size towels, and a couple of
extra pairs of underwear; yours may get wet during the treatments.
If you have questions about any class, please send us an e-mail.
